Maria Yaglovski holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and is a Registered Psychotherapist.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, she obtained a nursing degree and had since practiced as a nurse in various health care settings. Her time as a nurse helped her recognize the unique needs of each individual and refine her communication skills, accentuated her ability to build meaningful relationships, and exposed her to learning about different relationship dynamics. Through her nursing career, she realized she wanted to continue helping people, using a more holistic approach, and addressing the underlying emotional and cognitive needs.

Maria relies on her extensive experience as a health care provider, her personal learning journey, her instincts, and her professional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Maria also enjoys incorporating elements of Mindfulness practice and help people view mindfulness as a way of living and being. Maria believes that each individual is unique in their experiences and therefore she allows her clients to lead the way into their emotional healing.

Areas of therapy that she specializes in are depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and relationships. Maria currently works with individuals and couples.
